Nanjing-Bond Gains Recognition by Senator Oh
Toronto’s Bond Education Group was pleased to receive a visit by Canadian Senator, the Honourable Victor Oh, at its Ontario high school campus, in Nanjing China, on September 9, 2014. Senator Oh is seen visiting teachers and students at Nanjing Bond International College, the Ontario Secondary School Diploma Program hosted by Nanjing #13 High School, Nanjing.
Senator Oh, from Mississauga, is currently a member of the Senate’s Foreign Affairs and International Trade Committee. This visit is his third visit to a Bond school, in China, following a visit, in 2012, while accompanying Prime Minister Harper, to Bond’s Huamei Bond International College, in Guangzhou, and 2013, with the Minister of International Trade, the Honourable Ed. Fast, to Yinghua Bond International College, in Tianjin.
Nanjing Bond International College is hosted by Nanjing #13 High School, one of the most famous high schools, in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Nanjing Bond is one of the Bond Education Group’s nine internationally recognized university preparation secondary schools, in China. Of Nanjing Bond’s 66 graduates, in 2014, 63 are now attending university in Canada, two in the United States and one, in Australia.
The Bond Education Group has been offering the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, in China, since 1997. Nanjing Bond operates, in agreement with the Ontario Ministry of Education, and is one of nine Bond high school programs throughout China where Chinese students may study the Ontario secondary school curriculum and receive their Ontario Secondary School Diploma, in China. Of these Bond schools graduates in 2014, over 95% went to Ontario Universities and other universities cross Canada, the other went to Australia, United Kingdom and United States.
Bond also has secondary schools, in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hengshui, Tianjin and Yinchuan, in the Ninxia Autonomous Region. Bond also has two Toronto based secondary schools, Bond Academy and Bond International College, which welcome international students from around the world.
“Once again, Bond’s attention to providing a quality Ontario education, in its schools, in China and Toronto has been recognized.” said Mr. Hugh Mckeown, International Education Director of the Bond Education Group. “This is a total group effort from our Canadian teaching and administrative staff, in China, as well as our staff in Toronto. All Bond staff share in the recognition received by the Senator’s visit.”
