On Tuesday, August 16th, Bond Schools International held a newly hired teachers’ orientation to welcome all the teachers who will be teaching in China for the 2016-2017 academic year.

“Welcome to Bond!” as Mr. Jeffrey Farber, Principal of Bond International College, started the orientation.  He continued to explain that both Bond International College & Bond Schools International are divisions of the Bond Education Group. Since 1997, Bond Schools International has established eight affiliated schools in China, located at Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hengshui, Tianjin, Nanjing and Yinchuan, and each of them offers the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Chinese students who enroll in Bond Schools International in China will achieve their OSSD upon graduation, and will be able to apply for renowned universities all around the world.

Dr. Charlotte Ge, the acting Vice-Principal of Bond International College, outlined the importance of understanding Chinese students’ learning strategies, including language barriers, writing strategies, cultural differences etc.

Ms. Annie Cao, the manager of Bond Schools International, welcomed all newly hired teachers and principals on behalf of the President, Dr. Li, who was on a business trip in China. She answered questions about overseas teaching for all the new teachers. She mentioned that in 2016, over 95% of the Bond graduates came to Canada for universities while others went to Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Graduates from Bond Schools International in 2016 were all accepted by renowned universities.

Finally, on behalf of the Bond Education Group, we hope all the new teachers enjoy teaching in China.
